(NEWARK, N.J. – Dec. 21, 2023) Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the 16th consecutive year. The list recognizes companies that operate according to sustainable and ethical practices, particularly in areas related to environmental stewardship, operations and oversight as well as workforce and community support.

The DJSI recognizes forward-thinking companies based on an appraisal of the company’s strategy, management and performance in dealing with opportunities and risks based on a comprehensive review of environmental performance, innovation management, corporate governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement and talent attraction and retention. PSEG’s ongoing environmental efforts include: 

• Our vision for net-zero carbon emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2030.
• Promoting and enhancing biodiversity through natural resource conservation, including that PSEG Nuclear has restored, enhanced and preserved more than 20,000 acres of marshland.

PSEG strives to support communities by advancing initiatives including: 

• Achieving our goal to spend 30% with diverse suppliers two years ahead of schedule.
• The Clean Energy Jobs Program which has so far hired over 2,400 individuals from low-to-moderate income communities for jobs in the clean energy sector.

Additionally, PSEG believes that strong corporate governance practices serve the long-term interests of all stakeholders enhance the public trust PSEG has earned during our 120-year history.  The Governance, Nominating and Sustainability Committee of the PSEG Board of Directors has the charter responsibility for overseeing sustainability and climate strategy.
