Landfill and Brownfield Segments
Clean Energy Everywhere
PSE&G has set aside a 5MW segment for the construction of solar energy systems on closed landfills and brownfields.
When Can You Apply?
In keeping with the State of New Jersey's Energy Master Plan Master Plan goals, PSE&G's Solar Loan Program includes an allocation for landfill and brownfield solar development.
These projects can be either net-metered or grid-connected (PJM).
PSE&G reserves the right to require applicants to demonstrate proof of project viability and projects are required to be certified pursuant to subsection (t) of the Solar Loan Act of 2012.
Developers must submit their application to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, with a copy to PSE&G, no more than ten calendar days after being conditionally accepted into the Solar Loan Program. PSE&G will not advance funds to applicants that have not received their full certification pursuant to subsection (t) in advance of construction commencement.
Landfill and brownfield project applicants will need to complete the following questionnaire once the Solar Loan Program is launched. Please plan accordingly.
