The Online Home Energy Snapshot uses a physics-based home energy simulation model that accounts for home construction materials, the number and types of home equipment and appliances, the household’s unique energy use patterns and also prevailing weather conditions in your area. This model uses continually updated data to validate how each home uses energy and how energy usage and costs will change when different savings actions are taken.
