PSE&G Relaunches Smart Thermostat Rebate Program
Customers Can Save Energy and Money With $125 Instant Rebate
(NEWARK, N.J. – Nov. 7, 2019) – Public Service Electric and Gas Co. (PSE&G) relaunched its Smart Thermostat Rebate Program today, offering PSE&G residential customers an instant rebate of $125 on the most popular models of smart thermostats from ecobee, Emerson, Google Nest and Honeywell.
“Using a smart thermostat is one of the easiest ways that our residential customers can save energy and money by taking greater control of their heating and cooling systems,” said Karen Reif, PSE&G vice president for Renewables and Energy Solutions. “This program was enormously popular when we first launched it in 2018 and we are looking forward to offering this great rebate to even more of our customers.”
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a smart thermostat can help consumers save up to 10% on their energy bills and offers a number of convenient features, such as on-the-go programming from a smartphone or tablet and compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
All residential PSE&G gas and/or electric customers are eligible to participate. There is a limit of two thermostat rebates per customer account, including any thermostats purchased under the prior rebate program.
