Getting Started is Easy
Simply use your voice and say "Alexa, enable the PSE&G skill" or "Okay Google, Talk to PSE&G!" You can also enable the Amazon skill from Amazon.com or through the Alexa app. For Google Home, simply visit play.google.com or through the Google Assistant app. Whichever way you choose, your My Account login information will be needed.

No, the PSE&G skill is not available in Spanish at this time.

When you agreed to Google's Terms & Conditions after you enabled your Google Assistant device, an agreement was made which allows the Google Assistant to record and archive all your conversations with the Assistant. This does not give Google direct access to your PSE&G Account Information, such as username, account numbers, bank information, etc., however conversations with the action are saved. You have the ability to remove these recording by checking My Activity in the Google Assistant settings.

In order to make a payment through Alexa or Google, customers have to save their bank account information on their PSEG account. Payments will be withdrawn from the account that is on file. If you have multiple bank accounts on file, you will be prompted to choose which bank account you will want to use for the payment transaction.

You may start using Alexa by simply saying “Alexa open PSE&G” and state what you would like to do. Likewise, you can start using Google by saying “Google talk to PSE&G” and state the process you want to start. Before customers can use either device, they must first register their account with PSEG.

Both Google and Alexa can give general saving tips on ways to decrease energy usage. Google and Alexa also gives saving tips based on your prior usage and household.

Yes, all users signed on to the PSE&G Alexa Skill and Google Action have the flexibility to pick the specific account they will like information. You will be prompted to provide the house number associated with the account you want to use once you have linked your account and upon launching the Skill/ Action.

- For Google: “Talk to P S E & G” will open up the action and allow you to talk as if you were speaking to a representative.
- For Alexa : “Open P S E & G” will open up the skill and allow you to talk as if you were speaking to a representative.

With Alexa and Google you can now report an outage with partial or no power by saying “Report an outage!” The assistant will then follow up with a few questions and send your outage reporting to us.
