Don’t Panic, act quickly. Immediately exit the building and move at least 350 feet away. Once you are at a safe distance, call PSE&G at 1-800-880-PSEG (7734) or 911 to report a potential gas leak.  You will not be charged for reporting a potential gas leak.

DO

  • Leave the area immediately and wait for first responders to arrive
  • Leave lights, electrical equipment and appliances alone
  • Evacuate the premises and wait for first responders to arrive

 

DON'T

  • Try to find the source of the odor or attempt to control or repair the leak
  • Smoke or vape
  • Use light switches or doorbells
  • Light a match or leave candles burning
  • Turn appliances or flashlights on or off
  • Start a car
  • Use a telephone or cell phone
  • Pull plugs from outlets
