Energy Efficiency Programs

PSE&G is leaping forward to lower utility bills, improve New Jersey’s environment and create jobs that will help drive the economy.

Last September, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities  approved PSE&G’s Clean Energy Future-Energy Efficiency program, clearing the way for the utility to commit $1 billion toward energy efficiency over three years. It is the largest commitment to energy efficiency in New Jersey history, and includes 10 programs tailored to help all customers, residential and commercial, reduce their energy use by using energy efficient equipment, technologies and strategies.

The program is a key step toward achieving Gov. Phil Murphy’s clean energy vision, and is expected to propel New Jersey’s economic and environmental sustainability policies to a new level. It is also expected to deliver $1 billion in net customer savings, create 4,300 direct and indirect jobs, and help New Jersey avoid 8 million metric tons of carbon emissions through 2050.

As part of the statewide Clean Energy Act, New Jersey electric and gas utilities will begin managing and delivering “next generation” energy efficiency programs historically administered by New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP). Some energy efficiency programs will continue to be managed by NJCEP.
